Coffee Nation lands ‘New Vending Concept’ Award

Autovending’s Innovation Awards recognise the future of unmanned gourmet coffee bars

Coffee Nation, the UK’s leading provider of gourmet coffee on the go, has been awarded the ‘New Vending concept’ Award at this year’s Autovending Awards, in recognition of the development and launch of its revolutionary Express machine.

Express is a chip and pin or cash payment, self-service gourmet coffee bar that has been developed to provide any high-footfall environment such as hospitals, universities and corporate offices, with a branded coffee offer and shared revenue stream often in excess of £150,000 per year.

Built on the robust and proven Coffee Nation platform, the Express concept has been enhanced to include an intuitive ‘touch screen’ for menu selection, sophisticated telemetry and a payment device that for first time accommodates all major debit and credit cards as well as notes and coins.

Coffee Nation spent 12 months developing its Express machine before its launch earlier this year.

The highly coveted Innovation Awards were presented at a gala dinner at Old Trafford in Manchester on Monday 15 November and recognise innovation from all sectors of the vending industry.
