Milestone Capital knows well, and works closely with, a group of proven, successful and entrepreneurial managers to find situations where we can marry their talents to our capital. Members of this "Management Pool" are typically interviewed by external consultants in order to benchmark them against existing, successful managers of Milestone Capital's businesses.
This has a number of advantages :
- Milestone Capital can benefit from a manager’s detailed industrial and operating knowledge of a particular business under appraisal;
- management benefits from having sufficient indication of support to gain credibility with a vendor if wanting to launch a bid for a target;
- a vendor of a business can see in Milestone Capital/management many of the benefits of a corporate acquiror without having to disclose trade secrets to competitors; and
- Milestone Capital and management work together towards a mutually acceptable deal between themselves and the vendors. We provide finance, technical M&A know-how and contacts. Management can concentrate on the future of the business and how to create value through day-to-day operational improvements.
