On June 28, IXEurope announced that Equinix (www.equinix.com ) intends to make an offer to IXEurope shareholders to acquire the company. The IXEurope Board supports this intention and is recommending the offer to its shareholders.

Together, IXEurope and Equinix would provide datacentre services in 17 markets, 9 countries and 3 continents - effectively defining a market leading position as the first, truly global carrier-neutral collocation company.

Milestone Capital was the founding investor of IX Europe back in 1999 and has supported the management team since the company’s start-up with more than €40 million of equity invested. Through the Equinix offer, Milestone Capital would receive a return of more than 2.5 times its original investment.
